Signal Detection

Potential environmental safety patterns found by a simple, transparent screening rule. These are prompts for expert review — not findings.

Simulated Demo Data

Screening heuristic

  1. Step 1 · Group

Reports sharing the same pharmaceutical category and environmental medium (or disposal setting) are grouped.

  2. Step 2 · Count

    ≥5 similar reports → High · 3–4 → Medium · fewer than 3 → Low.

  3. Step 3 · Repeat location

If 3 or more reports come from one location, priority rises one level (max High).

PAT-01High priority

Repeated antibiotic + wastewater concerns

Antibiotic-related concerns reported in wastewater.

5similar simulated reports

Locations: Hyderabad, Telangana

Reason for priority

  • 5 similar simulated reports matched this pattern (rule: ≥5 High, 3–4 Medium, <3 Low).
  • 5 reports come from the same location (Hyderabad, Telangana) — repeat-location rule raises priority one level.
  • Reported by 4 different reporter types.

PAT-02High priority

Repeated hormonal medicine + water concerns

Hormonal-medicine concerns reported in surface water or wastewater.

4similar simulated reports

Locations: Pune, Maharashtra

Reason for priority

  • 4 similar simulated reports matched this pattern (rule: ≥5 High, 3–4 Medium, <3 Low).
  • 4 reports come from the same location (Pune, Maharashtra) — repeat-location rule raises priority one level.
  • Reported by 3 different reporter types.

PAT-03High priority

Improper disposal cluster

Improper disposal or littered packs on open land / waste sites.

Locations: Jaipur, Rajasthan

Reason for priority

  • 4 similar simulated reports matched this pattern (rule: ≥5 High, 3–4 Medium, <3 Low).
  • 4 reports come from the same location (Jaipur, Rajasthan) — repeat-location rule raises priority one level.
  • Reported by 2 different reporter types.

Important: These patterns are generated from simulated demo data. They do not indicate toxicity, contamination, causality or any regulatory confirmation. Any real-world pattern would require scientific sampling and expert environmental verification.
